TOMEI Pistons
Since the piston is one of the most important parts in the engine, the material of the piston must have enough strength to withstand severe fluctuations of temperature and extremely high pressure. Cast metal, which is used for the stock piston, is suitable for mass production but cannot maintain enough strength when used in tuned engines that produces over 100HP per cylinder. TOMEI Pistons instead, use forged metal made from alloy aluminium must be used as the material for those parts that will be used under the severe circumstances beyond stock level.
TOMEI Cooling Channel
The TOMEI Cooling Channel is the most efficient way of keeping temperatures of the piston body down. This is not only used in racing engine but also adopted in high performance street engines. TOMEI Cooling Channel Pistons give such a huge advantages in cooling the piston body -it is almost meaningless to compare it to pistons without the cooling channel. The TOMEI Cooling Channel results in increased torque, boost, max RPM and durability.
TOMEI Piston Rings
TOMEI Piston Rings are high performance, thinner piston rings which produce less friction loss and prevent fluttering. This also can prevent floating piston rings by reducing its moment of inertia and cutting down on blowby. In addition, there will be more open area for designing between the piston head and piston pin; it is possible to set the size and shape of the piston topland freely. Designed in an ideal spec, TOMEI Piston Rings dramatically strengthen the pistons they are used with.
TOMEI Titan Coated Rings
TOMEI Titan Coated Piston Rings have 30times the friction durability and 1.4 times the scuff durability when compared to the stock ring. The TOMEI Titan Coating applies to the top Piston Ring only.
