The stock cork gasket is flexible and seals good enough under light load, however due to its flexibility, it's a little too weak for high temperature and high load condition which eventually leads the bolts to come loose over times.

TOMEI Aluminum Oil Pan Gasket is designed to increase the block rigidity and prevent the bolts from coming loose which prevents oil leak at the same time.
