The PWR Liquid to Air Barrel Intercooler is a world first exclusive in its design for the industry. The Radical cylindrical shape was designed for race, drag and street applications, providing maximum cooling, airflow and performance efficiencies. An electric water pump circulates coolant throughout the barrel and a standalone low temperature radiator (heat exchanger) providing a stable outlet temperature under all driving speeds. The unique internal baffle system ensures an even amount of cooling is provided within the barrel itself. The system requires no ambient (external) airflow, which enables the unit to be mounted as close to the intake manifold as possible, reducing turbo lag and providing maximum response & performance. Barrel Intercoolers are available as an individual unit or in kit form with electric water pump, heat exchanger radiator, thermo fan and an inline filler neck with cap. Barrels are available in various diameters and lengths suited to engines producing between 270-1200+ Horsepower. PWR manufacture the most efficient intercoolers in the world as used by the most elite motorsports categories. These charge air cooler assemblies including the core, are manufactured by hand in our state-of-the-art facilities on the Gold Coast. Intercoolers are made from high grade aluminium incorporating extruded tube configurations.
