The OEM tumble generator valve (TGV) is designed to speed up air flowing to the engine during low-rpm and low load situations. This makes for more complete combustion and better fuel economy. During full throttle, these valves open to allow for more airflow, but they still create a restriction in the intake tract. You can see how the butterfly portion and the rod that operates them is very large compared to the intake port. The PERRIN TGV Delete is a simple bolt-on part to replace the OEM TGVs on your FA DIT WRX with a smooth inner wall to completely remove airflow obstructions.
