The Full-Race Civic Type R High-Pressure Fuel Pump, developed in partnership with Nostrum, delivers unparalleled power and efficiency, supporting up to 830 wheel horsepower on gasoline and 700 wheel horsepower on E85. With an easy bolt-on installation to FK8, FL5 and DE5 along with Hondata tuning support, this fuel pump is the ultimate choice for enthusiasts seeking maximum performance from their vehicle.
The ultimate fueling solution for the Civic Type-R
The ultimate fueling solution for your Type R is here! Introducing the Full-Race Civic Type R High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP), the largest capacity high-pressure fuel pump available. Flowing 68% more fuel than stock, our HPFP kit raises the ceiling on what was previously thought possible. While competitor products require expensive and labor-intensive 5mm camshaft lobes, our kit has been engineered to provide massive amounts of additional fuel headroom while still utilizing the standard OEM 4mm lobe
Included in the kit is everything you need for a simple and complete install, including detailed installation instructions, a pre-installed low-pressure feed line, and an all new stainless steel high-pressure tube. Gone are the days of drilling out factory fuel lines, our high-pressure tube completely replaces the factory line and internal orifice which is no longer needed. Unlike competitor products, our HPFP was designed to handle the pressure oscillation and control issues that can cause problems with tuning.
The Full-Race FK8 HPFP is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Each pump is laser-marked with a unique Hondata code to make tuning a breeze.

FAQ
Can the Full-Race Civic Type R High-Pressure Fuel Pump be used with aftermarket camshafts that have higher lift fuel pump lobes?
The Full-Race high-pressure fuel pump is intended for use with an OEM-sized 4mm HPFP camshaft lobe. We do not recommend using this HPFP with an oversized 5mm aftermarket camshaft lobe, due to issues with fuel pressure control that may result.
What is the benefit of a higher max operating pressure?
The higher operating pressure of the HPFP allows you to run the fuel injector at a higher pressure, sometimes higher than stock commanded pressure. This allows more injector flow (mass flow) by running the same injector at a higher pressure, like 240 bar (3500psi) rather than 200 bar (2900psi). Increased pressure at the injector improves spray quality and penetration, especially as boost pressure increases. In highly boosted DI engines it's all about injector capacity and combustion quality (spray quality).
Why do your numbers say I will make less horsepower on E85 than 93 octane?
The numbers we list in the product descriptions are similar to the numbers a turbocharger lists for airflow. The numbers are the "fuel system capacity to generate power" regardless of the other engine system limitations (air handling, mechanical limitations, knock propensity). Essentially the numbers are calculated assuming "sufficiently large turbocharger airflow", "sufficiently capable mechanical assemblies", and disregarding knock limits. The equation uses actual observed engine volumetric efficiency (when available from sponsorship test vehicles) and fuel capacity (including target pressures) to calculate power. Gasoline has more energy per mass volume than E85. So the higher fuel flow capacity will mathematically generate higher power potential for gasoline than a high ethanol content fuel. The other variables (air flow, spark, rotating assembly strength, charge cooling, mechanical assembly strength) are highly variable from build to build. This is why we state horsepower capacity for the fuel system representing the potential of the fuel system if you have all the other aspects of your build addressed!
Does the new HPFP for the FK8/FL5 have an internal filter?
No, neither the OEM FK8/FL5 pump nor the Full-Race HPFP use an internal filter. Very few GDI pumps have an internal filter. The GDI filtration specification requires a fairly large filter size to filter out small particles without clogging quickly. Some pumps use a very coarse and mildly restrictive pre-filter on the feed line attachment point, but that doesn't stop potentially damaging material from entering the pumpit just stops large foreign object debris.
Why do high-pressure pumps fail?
High-pressure pump failures are not due to a lack of an internal filter. Every modern DI system relies on the vehicle's fuel system filter (usually in the fuel pump module) to properly filter the fuel and protect the pump. If pumps or injectors fail due to debris, it is usually debris introduced into the system during service and maintenance of the fuel system. In the case of many popular pumps on K20s, drilling out the OEM high-pressure feed orifice is a red flag to any discerning enthusiast. It is critical to keep the workplace clean while installing and servicing anything in the fuel system to avoid damaging your injectors and/or pump.
I am running a high-performance fuel filter setup. Should I keep it, or could it hinder fuel flow and performance?
The ID750 filter is a well-designed and readily available filter system for racing applications. It may work fine for your needs, keeping in mind it's designed for PFI applications. PFI injectors do not need as high a level of filtration as GDI injectors and pumps. The ID750 filter is rated at 87% capture at 5 microns, 100% at 35 microns. GDI injectors and pumps usually specify a finer filtration level than this, and OEM Honda filtration is excellent. Generally, a good-condition OEM in-tank fuel filter is recommended. The upgraded Deatschwerks Fuel pump in the OEM basket is a great solution for 99% of applications. You can find more information about the Deatschwerks pump here.
