Configuration (oDSS Software):

The MFD15 Gen2 includes WiFi access for setup via smartphone or PC. With oDSS, you can fully configure the display, log values (license required), upload a custom startup image, and perform updates.

Supported Values & ECUs:

The MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284 standards. Up to 64 sensors can be queried depending on ECU support. Supported out of the box:

Additional ECUs can be added via downloadable TRI/TRX files. For VAG vehicles (2008+), extended queries (oil temp, boost, transmission temp, ignition timing, etc.) are supported.

Integrated LED:

Configurable as a shift light (up to 8 colors, adjustable RPM thresholds) or as a warning LED (min/max thresholds per sensor). During warning mode, shift light function is deactivated.

Analog Input Support:

Six analog inputs (linear 0–5V and NTC sensors). Preconfigured by default:

AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
AIN2: EGT probe Type K (TCC01)
AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
AIN4: Boost sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
AIN5: Not preconfigured
AIN6: Not preconfigured

Optional 4-way AIN harness available. Ethanol sensors can be connected directly with an additional license and 10K pull-up resistor.

Supported values

Many customers always ask: “Which values can I query from my control unit?” The answer: “ ALL ”. Our MFD15 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. The ECU manufacturers themselves determine which values are sent via the CAN bus interface. Documentation is important here - perhaps even in the form of a DBC file that can be imported via our DSS . You can also access our extensive list of already implemented control devices. These can be found in the download area . A total of up to 64 sensors can be queried if the manufacturer supports this.

Data that is available in broadcast as well as OBD2 queries via Can Bus (11bit/29bit) are implemented. Special protocols such as UDS are also available. If the desired control device is not listed, please contact us using the contact form

Connection and Expansion

Each delivery includes:

Plug B (6-fold)
Plug C (12-fold)
20cm pre-crimped connection cable for power supply, CAN bus, analog inputs, 5V and sensor ground
Pins for crimping yourself
Two 1K resistors (for pull-up for NTC sensors)

Any sensors can be connected via the six analog inputs - we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors.

The sensors we offer are usually stored in the TRI files and only need to be connected:

CC22501 rotary knob (optional)

The rotary knob already known from the MFD15 Gen1 is now only optional. It can be used if it is difficult to reach the front buttons of the display or if you prefer the operation. The connection is plug and play directly to plug B on the back of the display. With its 50cm long cable, it can be accommodated flexibly in the vehicle.

Online logging of the MFD15 Gen2

With the license for “Online Logging”, your display can log the data into the oDSS, where you can then download it as a file to your smartphone or PC. All sensors are logged in the log (NOTE: for OBD and UDS only those currently displayed!) . Select the sensors you may want to graph.
