Description
ALTA has bundled together some of the most popular upgrades into one convenient package. In a few hours you can improve performance dramatically as well as eliminate some nagging issues with the R53 Ignition system and protect your crank pulley from damage. These combined items have been proven to be the best choices by MINI enthusiasts for many, many years. If you do nothing else to your R53 MINI than install this kit, you will rewarding yourself for every mile you drive with a huge smile and confidence in the power of your MINI! Read more below on each of these special upgrades.
ALTA 15% and 17% Supercharger Pulley
The ALTA supercharge pulley will increase your MINI 's horse power by 20WHP. No additional modifications to the engine or ECU are required. The ALTA supercharger pulley features a stainless steel supercharger shaft coupler with installation site aperture and direct torque technology. The ultra light aluminum body decreases rotational inertia and overall weight. Oversized belt retainers and grooved teeth increase belt grip. A decorative end cap faceplate provides a clean sleek look.
ALTA Tensioner Stop
Why do you need an ALTA Tensioner Stop? SImple! At some point in your MINI's life, the serpentine belt that drives the Supercharger and AC, will fail. When it fails, the OEM belt tensioner mechanism plunges into the crank pulley, destroying the tensioner and crank pulley. The ALTA Tensioner Stop simply hooks around both ends of Tensioner dampener and limits the travel of the tensioner arm preventing damage when the belt fails. This simple and inexpensive part, saves you hundreds of dollars in repairs!

This pulley belt is an excellent match for your new pulley upgrade!
MSD Coilpack
MSD Coilpacks improve throttle response, mileage and power! Plus the unique red finish will compliment your prized MINI's engine bay. Prior to ordering check the pins to see if you have round or flat! The difference between a round pin and a flat pin coil is determined by the pins that connect the coil to the wiring harness and can be easily determined as follows. Slide the red locking tab to the right, press down on the tab and pull the connector off the coil. Check connector to see if you have flat pins or round pins. Push the connector back on until it clicks in place and slide the red locking tab back to the left, locking position. We only offer the FLAT PIN coil packs.
MAGNECOR Wires
Ensure the spark energy gets to the plug! Better Quality and more efficient than the OEM in every way! Don't starve your MINI of the very thing it needs to make a bang! Magnecor ignition cables feature Magnecor's exclusive 2.5mm high capacity Metallic Inductance EMI Suppressed conductor consisting of stainless steel wire precisely wound at 200 turns per inch over a ferrimagnetic core. The insulating jacket is made entirely of Magnecor's exclusive TC-1500-HS high strength aerospace grade red silicone rubber, and its single layer construction will prolong the jacket's insulating ability by conducting extreme heat away from hot-spots that occur near over-the-limit heat sources.
Brisk Spark Plugs
When boost is increased the demands of the spark plugs is increased. One way to help ensure the best spark is to change the temperature range and conductive material. Brisk Premium spark plugs are an entirely new type of spark plug. Owning to their unique design, they produce more than one spark per impulse of the ignition system. Brisk specializes in Silver Electrode spark plugs. Silver is the best thermal conductor of all metals (better then Iridium and Platinum) allowing for a wide spark plug heat range and excellent heat dissipation under max. power. High performance spark plugs go hand and hand with high performance cars!
