Date Posted:23 June 2026

NISMO (Nissan Motorsports & Customizing) is Nissan’s in-house performance and tuning division, responsible for transforming standard Nissan vehicles into track-inspired, high-performance cars and overseeing the brand's global motorsport activities.

NISMO vehicles are known for aggressive aerodynamics, track-tuned suspensions, and upgraded power plants. Prominent models include:

  • Nissan Z NISMO: Features a twin-turbo V6 and performance manual or automatic transmissions, delivering up to 420 hp.
  • Nissan Armada NISMO: A large performance SUV featuring a retuned twin-turbo V6 that pushes 460 hp.
  • Motorsport Icons: NISMO has a rich history of producing legendary road and race cars, most notably the Nissan Skyline GT-R series.

Conceived as the ultimate factory-sanctioned road car, the ultra-rare NISMO R34 GT-R S-Tune (built by the NISMO Omori Factory) was an exclusive ungrade package with only about 14 complete examples over producted.

The Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R Nismo Z-tune is widely consdered the ultimate, most extreme factory-build iteration of the R34 platform. Built to celebrate Nismo's 20th anniversary, only 19 production examples (plus one prototype) were ever crafted.
