Pioneered in the turbo manifold industry

Date Posted:24 June 2026

The story of ARTEC Performance Australia (often stylized as ARTEC)n centers on a jouney from precision cast-stainless exhaust manifolds to groun-up, complete turbocharger systems.

Precision Cast Manifolds

Founded in Australia, ARTEC initially disrupted the modified car scene by addressing common flow restrictions, tight-radius bends, and cracking issues in traditional fabricated manifolds. Using high-grade investment cast SUS347 stainless steel, they engineered high-flow, smooth-exterior manifolds for platforms like the Nissan RB, Toyota JZ, Mitsubishi 4G63, and Ford Barra. Their designs offered superior heat dispersion, extra clearance for maintenance, and integrated wastegate ports.

The "Bolt-On" Revolution

ARTEC expanded into direct-replacement turbo kits, such as the Sport 400 Turbo Kit. Developed and track-tested for platforms like the Toyota GR Yaris, GR Corolla, and Lexus LBX Morizo, this kit achieves over 400 wheel horsepower while retaining the factory ECU, fuel system, and downpipe. They also partnered with Garrett Motion on specialized Garrett G-Series turbo packages.

Ground-Up Turbochargers

In a major industry milestone, ARTEC released their own ground-up, completely redesigned lineup of turbochargers. Moving away from simply rebranding existing units, ARTEC developed their own bearing cartridges, backing plates, and quad-V-band housings to pair with complete bolt-on kits—bringing back a complete, old-school JDM bolt-on style setup (ranging from 45mm up to 115mm turbos, with mirror-image reverse rotation options). They also began rolling out dedicated twin-turbo kits (like the 2JZ setup utilizing G25 and G30 assemblies).
