The Radium Engineering high flow fuel filter has a 3 piece body that is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and Type-II anodized for maximum corrosion resistance. Both removable end caps feature large -10AN ORB female threaded ports for high flow plumbing. The fuel filter comes preassembled with Viton O-ring seals for all fuel types including gasoline, diesel, methanol, ethanol, and alcohol blends such as E85. High fuel pressures < 150psi can safely be used with negligible pressure drop.

The filter features a large 4.2"x1.75" element maximizing flow without sacrificing filtration. The large elements also hold a lot of contaminants without becoming a restriction, resulting in a very long service life.

The factory Nissan fuel filter is plumbed between the fuel pump and the fuel rail. This Radium Engineering kit is an OEM fuel filter replacement. The Radium kit installs in less than an hour. No cutting or drilling is required. A couple of wrenches is all that is required. Because the Radium filter is less restrictive than the OEM Nissan filter, there is less stress put on the fuel pump. Lower pre filter pressures permit less current draw and thus lower fuel temperatures. This phenomenon permits an increase in fuel flow. Nissan S15 shown above and Nissan R32 shown below.

The filters can withstand alternate fuels such as methanol, ethanol, E85, etc.

The Radium High Flow Fuel Filter is available with different filtration elements. Each option is discussed below:

The BOSCH fuel filtration specification states:

• "Recommended filter quality: nominal rating 5um, minimum 82% capture efficiency according to ISO/TR 19438; dirt particles > 35um are not permissible."

The Radium Engineering 18-0025-05 element (from 20-0220-05 filter) has a capture efficiency of 99.9% at 6 micron.

FLOW DATA

The chart belows shows the results of Radium's in-house flow testing of the fuel filters. The pressure drop was found by measuring the inlet and outlet pressures at different flow rates.
